The Trillion Dollar Deceit

It would be one thing if this country was facing a massive economic upheaval due to forces outside the US sphere of influence. But that isn’t so. The fiscal chaos was born and bred within our borders.

It is partially the result of President Bush’s poor leadership, which was compounded by the mainstream media’s determination to disenfranchise him. They preferred the weather psychopath, Al Gore, and Senator Kerry, the male version of Barbara Streisand.

These are the same enemy sympathizers that have convulsions if civilians are killed or injured when US troops attack terrorist sanctuaries, or when US telecommunication corporations cooperate with the intelligence gathering agencies.

This is the crowd that demands the safety of aliens crossing our borders illegally, and would rather free captured terrorists than deny them the judicial rights of US citizens.

These are the turncoats that protected Obama’s ascendency by ignoring his paltry record, his associations with terrorists, racists, financial vultures, and the fact that he helped funnel tens of millions of dollars into organizations that blackmailed lending institutions into granting loans based on race rather than credit worthiness.

These are the same arbiters of fairness that attacked Obama’s adversaries as racists, and ignored the statements from his lips that proved his ignorance, duplicity and incompetence.

The mainstream media, the bastion of political correctness, has elevated hypocrisy to an art form. It willingly and with malice viewed the collapse of the American economy as acceptable collateral damage if the Democrats could win Congress and the White House.

They refused to describe the role of President Clinton and the Democratic Congress which revised the Community Reinvestment Act in 1995. It is the defacto cause of the fiscal meltdown, as it staged the perfect storm for plundering $1 trillion from the American economy.

These are the thieves that stole the light that was meant to shine on government corruption. They buried the outright lies of Representative Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd about the health of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

They never questioned if these lies were a quid pro quo for the contributions Barney, Chris and Barack received from these fiscal maggots. And rather than demanding their impeachment, they blamed the financial vultures for participating in the government mandated welfare Ponzi scheme.

The mainstream media has lost its right to be respected, the right to exist. It could be forgiven if it openly admitted that it is the marketing arm of the Democratic Party, as is the PBS. But that will never happen because it would require a commodity it surrendered year’s ago, the objective truth.

The media’s deceitful propaganda and silence has cost this country a trillion dollars and still counting. It opened the door for the weasels that are eagerly waiting to savage the Constitution with its help and blessing.

Merry Christmas Today and Forever

Today is Christmas, the world’s most popular birthday party. A celebration filled with angels, shepherds, kings bearing gifts, shining stars, cribs softened with straw and good tidings to all.

It’s the season of Santa, stockings, decorated trees and lighted windows too. A holiday that proclaims peace on earth, and the goodwill which brings family and friends together. So cherish the day.

May the birth of Christ and every innocent child remind all Americans of the values and traditions we hold so dearly.

Christmas is a proclamation of hope for a better world. I hope yours is safe, merry and peaceful, filled with wide-eyed children and the twinkle of happiness.

And a special thanks to our military, which at this moment is defending our nation. They above all represent our faith in God and country and protect our freedom to say Merry Christmas.

Religion Bashers

The small minded people are out and about. Their incubator sized world orbits around the need to scorn religion. Christmas is their big opportunity to prove they have no sense of propriety or decency.

They insult religious celebrations and the symbols that bind Christians and Jews to an unseen Arbiter. To justify their rudeness they choose to ignore the fact that belief in a Supreme Being is optional in the US.

No religious litmus tests are required for private or government jobs. Religious affiliations are personal matters in the minds of most. Church attendance and belief in a First Cause are not mandatory.

By happenstance the founders, settlers and immigrants to the United States of America were predominantly Christian. So it is natural that Christianity flourished in North America. It’s an integral part of America’s traditions. But only one rule governs religion on our shores: The government can’t mandate one.

It’s a good rule. No religious subscription, acknowledgement or contract is required to be a citizen of good standing in the United States. So why are a handful of self-identified atheists and progressive secularists (read, liberal fanatics) raising such a raucous?

Like small children, it seems they crave attention. Every holiday they jump up and down, screaming “Me too, me too.”

These are the same “high-minded” creatures that extol choice, inclusiveness and diversity as virtues. Yet, they spurn the invitation to join the merriment, and ridicule the merrymakers for dismissing their philosophy. They want no part of live and let live; believe or don’t believe.

This hypocrisy betrays their motives and their state of mind. The root cause of their anger is not the near universal rejection of their world view, but rather that they are ignored. This infuriates them. They are mired in self-pity because Americans politely accept them.

They see themselves as the righteous keepers of all things scientific. They worship science and want the world to know that they have superior intellects. This is part of the same crowd that disavows promotion based on merit, and swoons when affirmative action is mentioned. Notice the incongruity?

In truth, most Americans would willingly acknowledge the intellectual superiority of strident atheists and their liberal supporters if they just promised to crawl back to their snooty, intolerant conclaves.

Let them tell each other tales of the heroes that designed and implemented the Soviet Union’s godless utopia. For the 20 to 30 million peasants and intellectuals that Stalin slaughtered that sure didn’t work well.

The religion bashers don’t believe in absolute truths, except one: That they are right and everyone else is wrong. Of course, this is the standard intolerance exhibited by all of the leftwing zealots. There is no room in their lodges for dissension.

These demented souls aren’t satisfied with equality of opportunity, and that’s the real bane of their existence.

To the Delight of Enemies All

So what if the economy is tanking, unemployment is skyrocketing, an ice storm lowered the boom on New England and the experts have concluded that the federal bailout did a belly flop? Christmas will arrive, just a bit late this year.

So don’t worry if the governor of Illinois decides to sell a Senate seat to cushion his retirement nest. Be hopeful! The Big Three and many blue states are courting the big spenders in Congress. Watch them smile without fear, for they know Christmas begins early next year.

And share the love! Don’t be sad because OPEC jacked up the tab. Besides, who needs oil and coal when we’ve been promised windmills and sunshine? Ask any polar bear. Industry, transportation, stoves and air-conditioning are overrated. If animals can do without, why should 300 million Americans pout?

And have some faith in government. Certainly a little conversation will end the countdown to an Israeli/Iranian showdown, Russia’s belligerence and the growing evidence of a major cyber attack. Show some Christmas spirit. Admit to the world that all the Muslim jihadists need is a little love, appreciation and the extinction of Christianity.

Granted, the foreclosure rate of US homes is climbing. And no one needs to be reminded that the stock market is competing with de-escalating home values to destroy the net worth of Americans. But don’t fret for a second! Just tighten your night caps and let visions of pork dance through your head.

To the nation’s delight, here comes eight tiny reindeer, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, John Kerry, Ed Kennedy and Charlie Rangel by name. They are joyful for the chance to pull Santa Obama’s red sleigh, loaded with goodies and deficits so high they’ll blanket the sky.

The trial attorneys, lobbyists, teachers, bureaucrats, illegal aliens and welfare recipients all, have hung up their stockings, knowing St. Obama will fill them with stuff only found in reindeer stalls.

Compassionate Conservatives should be happy as well, for President Bush will not disappear. Expect to hear his name spoken time and again, for St. Obama will remind us that his nose was blue and not a pretty bright red like his sled.

We can trust the new leadership coming to town. Obama, Michelle and their eight tiny reindeer realize Bush is responsible for world poverty, 9/11, terrorism, Christianity, weather changes and pollution, the energy crisis, the financial meltdown, low taxes, too little government regulation and the world’s failure to love us.

St. Obama will go right to work. All will be well when capitalism settles down for a long winter’s nap. In the wink of an eye, more government, more regulation, more taxation, more apologies and more freeloaders will arrive to the delight of our enemies all.

So pardon the effrontery for questioning if Obama was born in this country . . . .

Obama and FDR

There are two salient reasons why the United States defeated the Axis Powers in WWII. First, Americans were willing to fight. Secondly, our nation built armaments faster than its enemies could destroy them. And it was our economic strength that crushed the ambitions of the Soviet Union.

All historians, worthy of the title, credit the engine of war for ending the Great Depression. President FDR’s make-work initiatives in the 1930’s gave Americans hope, but didn’t solve the economic crisis.

On December 7, 1941 Japan pulled the trigger. It was the second shot heard around the world. Pearl Harbor awakened America. It was this ambush that unleashed the power of capitalism, which in turn, transformed America into an industrial powerhouse.

Until Vietnam, it was understood that messing with the country, identified by the stars and stripes on its flag, was a ticket to defeat. Vietnam confirmed that the US could still stage its military outside of its borders and defeat enemies on the far side of the world. But in hindsight, that was never the challenge.

America began bleeding internally. Vietnam was the first conflict in which the horrors of war were broadcast into American homes. The media personalized the body count. This daily assault scorched our resolve to sacrifice blood and treasure to stop aggression.

To what end? Two million civilians were slaughtered in Cambodia and South Vietnam after America folded its flag and sailed away. Our military didn’t disgrace itself; it was the only bright candle in America’s window. It was the politicians who cut and ran.

When America retreated it lost the trust of its allies and emboldened its enemies. Until the first Gulf War, America’s response to provocations and humiliations was to enlist the support of a feckless United Nations, the graveyard of national security and responsibility.

Saddam Hussein had to believe the worst the West would do, if Iraq invaded Kuwait, was throw a temper tantrum on the floor of the General Assembly. Imagine his dismay when the US opened fire.

The collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 changed the political equilibrium. The congressional masters of appeasement and renowned socialists knew the American people wouldn’t turn the other cheek. So predictably, they checked their pacifism and reconciliation chatter at the door to preserve their political careers.

Obama would have done the same had he graduated from his job as a state representative for some backwater section of Chicago. And that’s the point. Mr. OVP (Only Voted Present), socialist and pacifist extraordinaire, only represented himself.

On January 20, 2009 he’s out of leeway. Imagine his dismay when he discovers Americans aren’t willing to denounce capitalism, embrace deficits, grant amnesty to illegal aliens and entrust their security to the United Nations. They don’t speak Pelosi.

If Mr. OVP is true to his self-proclaimed, antiwar principles, Israel will cease to exist, or turn Iran into a sandbox. All bets are off on the aftermath of this collision. This is the gravest near term issue facing America.

Let’s hope Mr. OVP understands that the President of the United States can’t vote present and follow the steps of FDR to end the recession. This conflagration will make the Gulf Wars look like a picnic.

Wish Someone a Merry Christmas

The leftwing of the Democratic Party, now in control of Congress and soon the Oval Office, has opened hunting season on Christians. They want to eradicate this species from Western Civilization.

Of course, their goal is more encompassing, but their adherence to the current rules of political correctness forbids criticism of the Jewish and Muslim faiths.

Their weapon of choice is judicial activism. It’s the perfect knife to slice through the soft underbelly of the US Constitution. And don’t be deceived. They are sponsoring a full-scale crusade against religious tolerance and traditional values.

The election of The One, who espoused the principles of socialism to achieve victory, has bolstered their confidence. His remarks in San Francisco defined his core beliefs. He considers those who oppose his socialist vision for America as Neanderthals still clinging to religion.

His leftwing supporters are certain his judicial appointees will adopt a scorched earth policy against Christianity. This has emboldened them. Abortion clinics are cynically offering Gift Certificates for a holiday that celebrates the birth of a child. That’s beyond grotesque.

Their campaign to demean religion has been successful. Their legions now control the media and the curriculum in the schools. And they have re-written history. These proponents of a socialist state have managed to disparage, distort and discount the influence of Judeo-Christian tenets in the creation of our Constitution.

Their version of history ignores the fact that every man who signed the Declaration of Independence had signed his own death warrant. These were white, Christian Europeans who feared the imposition of a state mandated religion, and simultaneously, put their lives on the line to create “one nation under God.”

That businesses, in a predominantly Christian nation (80%), are reluctant to murmur Merry Christmas to their employees and customers speaks volumes about the leftwing’s success in forcing Christianity into the fringes of acceptability. And local governments are equally intimidated, or equally at fault.

But the true test of the leftwing’s success is found in the answer to this question: Do you fear the consequences of wishing others a Merry Christmas? If you have ever hesitated to utter this greeting, you are a victim of the leftwing’s assault on Christianity.

They would have you believe that sharing the joy of a religious holiday is civil disobedience.

The insidious aspect of the warfare against Christians is that atheists, Jews and Muslims are somehow united behind the effort to stamp out Christian traditions. That’s a fallacy. Too many of our Jewish friends and neighbors wish us a Merry Christmas to believe this lie. And the vast majority of atheists appreciate the opportunity not to go to work.

The socialists are deploying the same tactic to undermine religion as they use to promote income re-distribution, namely, class warfare. By pitting one world view against another they inflame religious controversies. To end these manufactured eruptions, they pass legislation which suppresses any form of religious expression.

Never forget that the leftwing’s goal is to make the State the sole arbitrator of morality and economic opportunity. So fight back! Wish someone a Merry Christmas.

Ransacking America's Future

Once upon a time, public education was respected.

That’s when public schools taught the rules of proper civic behavior. The rights and duties of citizens were explained and practiced in the classrooms.

There were few intangibles. The students were expected to practice the tenets that defined acceptable behavior. Ethics and morality weren’t strangers to the academic world; they were an integral part of public education.

Students were taught that their academic achievement and their ultimate success were bound together. Education was understood to be the springboard that prepared them to compete for and acquire personal wealth. It was universally understood that it was the bridge to success.

And it was an opportunity that came with no guarantees. Education was a process that assembled a scorecard of academic merit, personal ability and initiative. The system never pretended that all youngsters were intellectually equal.

School was about peer competition and academic standing. Grades denoted proficiency in subject matter. They weren’t awarded for good intentions; they were earned by mastering skills.

Among the industrialized nations of the world, studies place the US between 12th and 18th in terms of the overall quality of education it provides. In the middle of the Twentieth Century it was ranked number one.

The downward slope of US education traces the path cut by the onslaught of liberal programs introduced in the 1960’s. The Socialists believe that universal, mediocre performance is superior to the disparity created by rewarding talent and initiative. Educators adopted the practice of social promotion which eliminated objective standards.

Socialists despise the curve of the economic rainbow, and believe the pot of gold is public property. They have defined education as they define morality and achievement. The standards and criteria are subjective. That’s why they loathe standardized tests.

The United States spends more money-per-pupil than any of the top 24 industrialized nations. It’s not about the money and it is about the money. Between 1960 and 1995 the cost-per-pupil, adjusted for inflation, rose 212% in the US.

What did this investment buy? Nothing but a bloated educational bureaucracy bent on the removal of merit from the classroom. Today, more than one-half of the personnel on the school payrolls don’t work in a classroom. By comparison, 72% of the personnel in private schools are teachers.

All available statistics indicate that the influx of bureaucrats has contributed to the deterioration of education. They are the problem. [It doesn’t take a scholar to quickly calculate how to reduce the cost of public education 25%.]

These government parasites owe their allegiance to a system which is controlled by powerful unions. They write the educational policies fostered by the Democrats. And the Democrats have scuttled the quality of education to protect this voting block and their shared socialist ideals.

Together, they are ransacking America’s future.

Senator Judas Goat

Senator McCain will soon be president-elect Obama’s favorite Republican. If a cabinet seat was created for a representative of the loyal opposition, Arizona’s Mr. Maverick would be a natural for the post. His conservative credentials are as thin as Obama’s military and executive experience.

McCain relishes the role of poking his finger in the eyes of any Republican. No news here. He will supply the grease for the Democrats’ legislative and propaganda machines.

Just watch! He will ride shotgun for Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid. They will make him the poster child for how good Republicans support their agenda. And he will bask in the warmth of the spotlight.

The mainstream press and broadcasters always confirmed his credentials as an American hero prior to tearing his heart out when he became the chief adversary of That One. Now once again, McCain has the opportunity to be a media darling. He knows the media’s love is predicated on his being a foil to conservative principles.

Lest Republicans forget, Benedict Arnold was an American military hero before he sold his country out. McCain, a bitter, arrogant, old man, will walk the same path. He will turn his back on the principles that built America to repair his ego.

After nibbling on the edges, he will acquiesce to the putrid legislation that is already causing the leftwing’s fits of excitement and uncontrolled drooling in anticipation of Obama’s rubber stamp.

Expect the words “fair compromise” to appear on McCain’s lips every time Pelosi and Reid increase taxes, reduce military readiness, cripple surveillance, nationalize another industry or shovel another load of welfare onto American backs.

Anyone who believes this criticism is harsh and untrue only has to wait for the subject of illegal aliens to present itself.

McCain will sell out the American taxpayers, and betray his promises as a presidential candidate, for the sake of human kindness. That’s doublespeak for amnesty. And amnesty is doublespeak for unrestricted welfare for 12 million illegal aliens and another 20 million family members waiting in the wings.

What an English speaking country experiencing a fiscal meltdown doesn’t need is 30 million uneducated, Spanish speaking, poverty stricken refugees clogging its schools, medical facilities, prisons, welfare and unemployment offices.

If McCain doesn’t support amnesty, dressed in any disguise, this observer will apologize. But don’t be bamboozled when the subject is changed to border security. With Obama in the Oval Office, and Pelosi and Reid running Congress with McCain at their side, there will be no reason for border security. The stampede will come right through the front door.

Republicans had better find a spokesperson who cares about America before Arizona’s judas goat leads them to the slaughter.

The Hope of America's Enemies

It’s safe to throw stones from the middle of a mob involved in a melee on a side street. And that is where president-elect Obama spent most of his political career. Mr. OVP (Only-Voted-Present) no longer has the luxury of hurling bombs from an anonymous sanctuary.

He is no longer a thirty second commercial. Now that the crowd has separated, Americans are getting a better look at him. If anything, he looks a bit tired. This can probably be attributed to his tightrope act. It’s amazing how Mr. OVP has changed his public personification.

As the appointees to his Cabinet are identified, it’s clear he wants his popularity to last beyond the first one hundred days of his administration. Neither his politics, nor his adroitness at avoiding tough decisions, has changed. He’s building a stockade which will justify his existence and prolong his career.

And no one should envy his position. He has to appease his soul mates, the likes of Kennedy, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Charlie Rangel, whose political agenda recently collapsed on the doorstep of every American.

They weren’t the architects of the current economic calamity; but they are the acolytes that carried the torch of President Johnson’s disastrous Great Society legislation.

Mr. OVP will inherit a mess created by the socialist predecessors of those who dominate Congress. His chums in the media can deny the charge, or simply change the subject. It makes no difference. The fact is that he won the right to sit in the Oval Office by promising the masses that he would put them on easy street.

His devotees understood that the funds for his visionary, welfare schemes would be taken from the hides of business people.

When Mr. OVP enters office on January 20, 2009, he will be offered riches beyond a socialist’s dreams. His soul mates are prepared to offer him the keys to the US Treasury and have promised to ignore the staggering consequences of a soaring national debt. The $700 billion bailout pales in contrast to their dreams of trillions of dollars in welfare programs.

The smell of incense already permeates the corridors of Congress as it prepares to bless the reign of President OVP. The liberals have pinned their hopes on his rhetorical skills, praying he will convince the majority of Americans that the expression “going for broke” is the job of government.

Mr. OVP’s training, as a Community Organizer, didn’t include the ABC’s of business. He has no knowledge of balance sheets, collateral, invoices, payroll deadlines, nor has he ever been charged with the responsibility of guiding a business. In his mind, businesses are pretty much just the source of political contributions.

The only thing standing between Mr. OVP’s vision and the collapse of capitalism, the hen that lays the golden eggs, is the sobering reality that his agenda and that of his soul mates will destroy his career, his reputation and his second term. And trust that is what he is being told.

The question is: Will he listen? The entire world waits for the answer. The majority of them pray that he will take the advice of Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank. That is the hope of America’s enemies.
