Will Obama sell the Statue of Liberty?

It’s difficult to understand what all the fuss was about when the CNN reporter, Susan Roesgen,recited the Enchanted Kingdom Party line to a Tea Party protester in Chicago. It must have been a slow news day.

The same week Speaker Pelosi was caught lying about her tacit approval of water boarding after demanding that every man, woman, child and insect involved with enhanced interrogation be prosecuted.

A CNN reporter chanting the Obama dogma and Pelosi, a politician, employing doublespeak to conceal the truth are as extraordinary as a choreographed news conference dominated by a teleprompter.

And who would have guessed that Senator Arlen Specter was a closet Democrat? His official shift from the Republican to the Democrat Party won’t change the vote count in the Senate. He was Reid’s right-hand rubber stamp.

The change smells like the little weasel had pretty much figured out he was persona non grata among Republicans in Pennsylvania.

Maine’s two Senators should do the same. Again, they are about as conservative as Barney Frank. Although, in fairness, they dress better, don’t slur their words and aren’t running gay brothels in their DC digs.

And Senator Dianne Feinstein guiding $25 billion in federal funds into her husband’s company, the CB Richard Ellis Group, was a stroke of luck. Who could have guessed that the value of the $10 million of company stock they purchased a few days before the announcement would go up forty percent.

Talk about a profitable coincidence. Of course, in fairness, maybe she didn’t know the name of her husband’s company. The mainstream media doesn’t see a smoking gun here. Maybe the deal was just beginners luck. Whatever the case, it seems being a Senator is better than playing the lottery.

The Heritage Foundation did the arithmetic on the cost of granting the 13 million illegal aliens amnesty. Relax! By the time they die amnesty will only cost the taxpayers a paltry $3.6 trillion in welfare, unless they bring all their relatives. In that case it gets expensive.

The upfront cost for amnesty is only $1.2 trillion. What’s another one trillion dollars in deficits between neighbors? Come on! They’re doing their share. It’s not easy spreading the swine-flu across the globe. And here you thought they weren’t productive contributors to the GDP.

And you will love this. Congress is working overtime to bring in a few million temporary workers to share the abundance of jobs created by Mr. Obama, Pelosi and Reid. Maybe that’s what Air Force One was doing when it buzzed New York City.

It was probably gathering promotional footage for an ad linking Mr. Obama to the fiscal and security benefits the US offers to foreign workers. They wanted to film it before the nation had to sell the Statue of Liberty back to the French to reduce the deficit.

Of course, the transaction would also shrink the cost of national security by eliminating one of the Islamic Terrorist’s targets. That sounds like a plan that Obama could hide behind.

The Next Fiscal Coffin Nail

According to a recent Fox News Poll, 69% of the registered voters are satisfied with what Mr. Obama has accomplished in his first 100 days in office. The number includes 92% of Democrats and only 24% of Republicans. That’s a big gap.

But the percentages sound about right. The uneducated, ignorant and complacent won’t complain until they see their tax bills climb into the stratosphere after the 2010 mid-term elections. Of course, another surge in unemployment will be a noisy part of their wakeup call.

That’s when the 52% who think the size of government hasn’t grown, or is actually shrinking, will wake up to the new reality.

Anyone who has walked through a mall in the last thirty days realizes that most US citizens are intelligent enough to know they can’t spend their way out of a recession. And that’s why the banks aren’t lending.

The financial institutions are scrambling to build their reserves for the pending disaster in commercial real estate. Think not? Go to any mall and count the number of vacant stores, mostly boutiques, which are boarded up. And take note of the growing vacancies in office parks and retail strip malls.

The home mortgage crisis will soon be compounded by defaults in the commercial sector. So anyone who believes the worst of the banking crisis is over will be blindsided by this development. America is currently experiencing a lull between fiscal storms.

The US printing presses will be working around the clock to cover this shortfall. With stocks on life support, municipal bonds looking like junk bonds and the US Treasury printing money, Americans can bet their last inflated dollar that the current recession will deepen.

And that is the good news. Without massive tax increases the value of the US dollar will implode. Timothy Geithner and Obama know this. They are also aware that America’s credit worthiness will come under further assault as phase two of this debacle unfolds.

Be reminded that the health of the US economy is built on credit, as credit sustains consumer spending. And consumer spending accounts for 70% of the GNP. When credit tightens the US economy contracts. If it dries up, the economy will come to a standstill. Small businesses will disappear in droves.

There is only one logical reason why this brewing storm isn’t being addressed publicly. And it’s the same reason Obama’s administration keeps the Social Security and Medicare time bombs in the shadows. Fiscal reality is their political enemy.

Obama and the Democrats are holding their breath. They want to pass universal healthcare and a myriad of new welfare programs before the public understands the country is facing a near insurmountable deficit.

This is the reason the Democrats are fighting desperately for the cap-and-trade energy initiative, the largest tax increase in the history of the world. This infusion will temporarily mask the inevitable economic fallout from unbridled government spending.

Here is the bad news. The taxes required to save Obama’s agenda will create ObamaLand, a second rate socialist republic.

Obama's Love Affair

Watching the Obama administration refute America’s greatness and bury our grandchildren in debt is sickening. Now this band of weasels has decided to take legal action against members of the previous administration for going after the Islamic terrorists with vengeance.

Why? To stay in the good graces of the bleeding leftwing of the Democratic Party. Without its support Obama won’t be able to ram blanket amnesty for illegal aliens through congress, nationalize healthcare and use global warning to destroy what’s left of the middle class.

Against the advice of five Directors of the CIA, Mr. Obama opened hunting season on our intelligence agencies and presidential confidants. From this point forward they will hire their own attorneys before following a directive or offering a recommendation.

And how would you like to be in the military with Mr. Obama, the President of the United States, granting more rights to the terrorists than to the men and women in uniform? Except his administration refuses to call these butchers terrorists.

Is anyone else sick of the love affair that he has with himself? He actually believes the press clippings issued by the mainstream media. Evidently he is not aware that most of this swaggering group is courting bankruptcy because they substituted propaganda for truth.

That the California candidate lost the title of Miss America because she believes marriage should continue to be defined as a union between a woman and a man exemplifies what’s happening to freedom of speech in ObamaLand.

Political correctness is a lethal weapon used to destroy all who disagree with Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank and their cronies who wish to replace Christian principles with government mandated guidelines. Only those who can bark the party line are trusted with free speech. The rest are pigeon holed as terror suspects.

With the Chinese and Russians hacking away at our energy grid and stealing our military secrets, Obama is glad-handing every dictator he meets. He threw Eastern Europe to the wolves to placate the remaining Communists in Russia. And he gave North Korea a real fright when he got the United Nations to issue a shame-on-you letter.

It would be inaccurate to simply blame his foreign policy on inexperience. The fool actually believes that he is the gift the world has been waiting for. He is so immersed in himself that he can’t hear our enemies snickering. From the expressions of their faces, we can see them thinking, “With enemies like him, who needs more friends?”

No one would care if Obama dithered about for the next four years. Who would care if he ran from mirror to mirror and camera to camera pretending to be The One. But that’s not the case.

He is socialist bent on destroying capitalism, because he is ashamed of the USA. And he has a congress that shares this attitude. That’s what makes him dangerous. The 2010 elections will determine the fate of the nation.

The Human Spirit

Susan Boyle. Susan Boyle. Susan Boyle. This dowdy, forty-seven year old Scottish subject knocked the socks off three judges and a smirking audience. She stunned the world with a sensational singing voice, which was perfectly concealed behind frumpy clothing and an unsophisticated presence.

Her performance at the Britain’s Got Talent contest overpowered the audience's first impression and mocked its arrogance. She embarrassed us, and in truth, she shamed us. Susan reminded us that we live in a world of expectations groomed and promoted by marketers.

Expectations are routinely defined by perceptions. We are taught what to jeer and what to cheer by the media elite. Those who can’t or won’t play the game are often branded as inferior or labeled misfits.

Another recent example of this phenomenon was the mainstream media’s disdain for the Tea Party participants. The crowd was condemned as misfits for not being in sync with the liberal media’s definition of proper political thinking. The media reaction defined the real losers.

It is obvious that Susan has spent her life in the shadows, much the same as Victor Hugo’s Quasimodo, in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. That was the wonder of her performance. She knew who she was when she walked across the stage, and she knew what the judges and audience were thinking.

But it didn’t deter her from seeking her place in the sun. In hindsight, that’s what we admired and cheered. It was determination that brought her there, which the audience had mistaken for gall. Her voice was merely the crescendo.

In three minutes she changed twenty million minds. That’s the feat the world saw. And her performance empowered us.

We shared a moment with a person who proclaimed that it’s okay to be imperfect. Everyone can relate to that. That’s the joy we felt when her voice erased perceptions and proclaimed I belong here.

Imagine the bruising and doubts and frustration she had endured for forty-seven years. She escaped the bondage of low expectations with courage, personal resolve and talent.

Remember when the vast majority of Americans knew that if they didn’t quit, they could make it? Remember when perseverance was admired, adversity was expected and success was honored?

Well, evidently it still is. And Susan Boyle reminded us that this attribute, although not uniquely American, still exists on our shores, despite the government’s efforts to substitute equal opportunity with equal outcome.

Susan would never have walked across that stage and competed head-to-head with the other contestants in Obamaland USA. In Mr. Obama’s affirmative action plagued America, Susan would have been given extra points for being homely and declared the winner.

Thus, despite her talent, no one would have admired her, no one would have honored her, and no one would have shared her triumph.

Thank you Susan Boyle for reminding us of the power of the human spirit.

Rightwing Extremists

Anyone dependent on the mainstream media for political news is probably unaware of the few thousand Tea Parties that were held across the nation yesterday, April 15, 2009.

These demonstrations were aimed at letting Mr. Obama, his socialist cronies and too many Republican Senators know how the taxpayers feel about the federal government’s wild-eyed deficit spending.

On April 7, 2009, Mr. Obama’s Department of Homeland Security released a ten page report warning the nation of the type of rightwing extremists that attend and recruit at such events. Although the study was authorized by the Bush Administration, the timing of its release can’t be construed as a coincidence. (Report available at www.thelibertypapers.org).

It’s the DHS’ assessment that rightwing extremists include people who are against amnesty for illegal aliens, or restrictions on the right to bear arms, or abortion, or government infringement on civil liberties and states’ rights, or taxation.

The report goes on to suggest that those demanding the federal government enforce immigration laws are dangerous racists.

The DHS concludes that all these factions are a potential threat to the security of the nation. And that Mr. Obama’s team will be monitoring the activities of these rightwing terror suspects to protect the nation from harm. Will they be taking names and constructing profiles at these events?

DHS’ new mission is to protect the citizenry from those who oppose Mr. Obama’s agenda. The report is not subject to interpretation. Point blank, Americans were warned to stay home and shut-up if they don’t agree with Mr. Obama’s policies.

When an armed government body is directed to monitor the political opposition it is pure fascism. Keep in mind that candidate Obama recommended the establishment of a national police force, bivouacked in all fifty states, which would report directly to him.

It’s not paranoid to ask if the DHS’ new directive is Phase I of Obama’s plan to enforce the nationalization of politically correct thinking. Put it in context. This is the administration that wants to nationalize financial institutions and healthcare, control energy production, weaken the military and create wage scales for private industry.

This is the administration that constantly demeans private enterprise and the wealthy; one which uses the race card and class warfare to undermine capitalism.

And in the wings of this administration sits House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Rep. Henry A. Waxman, D-Calif., and Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass.

They are sponsoring a bill which would allow anyone to sue the government or a private company “who has suffered, or reasonably expects to suffer, a harm attributable, in whole or in part, to government inaction on global warming.” Can you think of a better way to destroy private enterprise and re-distribute the nation’s wealth?

The United States won’t be a shadow of its former self if Obama’s agenda isn’t stopped in its tracks. Raise your voice and fight for the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution.

Ingrained Contempt

Mr. Barack Hussein Obama crossed a reception room and bowed from the waist to a Saudi King. The incident was recorded and sent around the world. This diplomatic break with twenty-one generations of American tradition summarizes his foreign policy, his world view and his mindset.

Naturally the White House denied he bowed subserviently and the mainstream media ignored the event. This formal deference seemed natural to him and evoked memories of Michelle Obama’s personal observation that she was never proud of her country.

Her statement and Obama’s gesture imply an ingrained disrespect and contempt for America. No evidence to the contrary, some recess in their minds can’t acknowledge America’s greatness and accept the reality of their own acceptance.

It seems neither is comfortable with the acclaimed power they have achieved. They are still jousting with windmills. And they are not alone. The congressional Black Caucus’ recent trip to Cuba had a similar scent about it. They couldn’t find enough words to praise the Castro brothers’ tyranny and bemoan America’s failures.

If the truth be told, they all grew up believing white Americans are their natural enemy, and they have transferred this mindset into despising a form of government built by white European men. This attitude is so ingrained that they can’t get beyond it.

Think about it. The Black Caucus only represents minorities and works on the premise that all whites are racists. Michelle Obama’s last job in Chicago was to insure that a hospital staff didn’t have too many white personnel. See the mutual context that underlines their thinking?

Obama represented ACORN, an organization that continues to blackmail financial institutions that refuse to grant loans to unaccredited minorities. And they both attended a church (for 20 years) that damned white Americans for the failure of blacks to prosper.

Capitalism can only endure in a nation that respects and rewards personal initiative and demands personal responsibility. Obama can’t admit the United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The bedrock of Christianity is personal responsibility. This is why he stood in Turkey and defensively proclaimed our nation was non-sectarian.

Obama and Michelle’s character was forged in an era of political correctness, affirmative action, diversity and multi-culturalism. This is victimhood unleashed. It’s a doctrine that blames one person’s success for another’s failure. It’s based on the assumption that opportunity is a zero sum game and that tenacity and talent don’t deserve rewards.

This is the legacy that has conditioned Obama’s world view. This is what drives him to condemn America and apologize to the world for its success. This explains why he is so ready to dismantle the Pentagon and trash capitalism’s economic imperatives.


Obama is not blinded by hatred. He is ignorant of history, of capitalism and the tenets of Christianity. He can’t admit that capitalism opens the field of opportunity to all that care to try. He never studied the links between The Reformation, the seeds of the American Revolution and the Industrial Revolution.

He doesn’t grasp the simple truth that drove 12 million illegal aliens across our borders. Why? Because he was given a free ride, and it is the only passage he knows. That’s why his domestic vision reeks of redistribution. And that’s what makes his agenda un-American.

From One Neanderthal to Another

It’s time for the Neanderthals to get with the program. And we all know who they are due to the diligence of the mainstream media.

These are the creatures that live and work in the 30 states that rejected Mr. Obama, and the voting minority in the 20 states who were overpowered by the forces of change and hope. They are the selfish, racist, war mongering, gun-toting Christians incapable of appreciating Obama’s vision for a new world order.

They are obsessed with the Constitution, national defense, border security, private enterprise, historically factual textbooks, deficits, religious freedom and states’ rights. This is the crowd that actually believes that government gets its power from the people. And sillier yet, they believe in personal responsibility and are proud of America.

These Stone Age, knuckle dragging voters can’t see the wisdom in slashing the budget for missile defense as North Korea and Iran perfect their long range nuclear capability. It’s hard to imagine, but they are repulsed by a President who travels abroad and apologizes to the world for a foreign policy that protected western civilization from the onslaught of communism.

They are appalled by a government that blames America for the blood letting of Islamic Jihadists and one that grants illegal aliens and terrorists the same rights that generations of Americans died to protect. Their attitude is so pedantic.

And they are so nearsighted. These foolish souls don’t understand why the Obama administration removed terrorism from the government lexicon. They just don’t get it. They’re still clinging to the outmoded belief that an enemy is an enemy. By declaring defeat, America ends the conflict. What’s not to understand about this clever ploy?

Their attitude about taxes is just plain despicable. They don’t comprehend how important government benevolence is. They selfishly cling to the belief that if they earn the money that they should get to keep it. That’s so . . . so yesterday’s thinking. What’s not to understand about the government helping people who prefer not to work?

That’s what makes taxes patriotic. So what if 44% of the expenditures incurred by Obama and the Democrats this year are funded by debt. Isn’t that why printing presses were invented?

It gets uglier. These morons have no faith in the United Nations. Think of the thousands of relatives of the delegates on its payroll, and the workers who make the blue helmets and the kickbacks earned by its leadership.

Without the UN no one could have guessed that the United States was the largest offender of human rights. It makes you want to live in Cuba, China, Iran or Somalia where human rights are respected.

And don’t even mention illegal immigration. These pre-historic beasts resent paying for the welfare and healthcare and education for those who unknowingly crossed an international border. They were just following the road signs erected by congress and the sanctuary cities. And give us a break! Without issuing them driver’s licenses how will they blend in with real Americans? Duh!

Who Needs a Tele . . . ?

It’s time to stop pretending that Mr. Obama is anything more than Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid’s shill. He oozes sincerity when he reads a script on a teleprompter. Of course, the same can be said of dummies seated on the lap of a ventriloquist.

The moment Obama addresses ad hoc questions from the press, an observer might reasonably suspect the ventriloquist went out for coffee. He responds to questions, but he doesn’t answer them. It’s pretty clear that he doesn’t have a grasp of the issues. Nor, for that matter, that he has ever had an original thought.

In business jargon, Mr. Obama is ten miles wide and a quarter inch deep. His press conferences make one wonder if he ever read a book that didn’t start “Once upon a time . . . .” And don’t bring up his Harvard education.

His academic records are sealed. Besides, affirmative action, diversity and multiculturalism are the cornerstones of Harvard’s selection and grading process. Anyone not choking on political correctness knows how to interpret his college credentials.

The mainstream media would have us believe that he is the smartest man ever elected president. They are confusing smart with clever. And clever he is. What else explains how a man with zero business and political experience that palled around with terrorists, crooks and venom mouthed preachers makes it to the Oval Office?

Granted, McCain looked like death warmed over and the nation was tired of President Bush, but give Obama credit. He knew what buttons to push. He was aided and abetted by a media that loved the color of his skin, his anti-wealth and his anti-Iraq War message.

Of course, his campaign boilerplate was just memorized words to him. His diatribes against lobbyists, lackadaisical border security, deficits, earmarks, the War in Iraq and his promises to reduce taxes on the middle class were just populist, Chicago styled drivel.

Lobbyists are being hired, deficits are beyond comprehension, earmarks remain standard procedure, the borders remain undefended and the middle class is being buried with government spending.

Throw in blanket amnesty for illegal aliens, national healthcare and cap and trade energy and there sits the decade’s old agenda of Pelosi and Reid. Obama is just saying “That’s fine with me, if it keeps me popular.”

The only thing the electorate has learned from his administration is that members of the Democratic hierarchy uniformly cheat on their taxes. It’s Pelosi and Reid that want the government to set the wages paid in the private sector, to nationalize financial institutions and to hire ACORN to help with the national census.

The Obama nightmare is not going to end until Pelosi and Reid are placed on the sidelines, or San Francisco is deeded to China or Cuba. They all seem to have a common cause. They want to disenfranchise the wealthy, which smothers dissent.

In so doing, they are disenfranchising the tax paying voters. That’s the Pelosi/Reid goal. And Obama? Have you ever seen a tail wag a dog?

Ain't Obama Great!

There are a number of things that Mr. Obama is doing that should thrill Americans. For instance, now that he and the Democrats have taken control of General Motors we know the company will prosper. Under the direction of Pelosi, Reid and Obama, energy efficient pedal cars will become wildly popular.

It’s amazing what a change of vocabulary can do to relieve tension. It raises everyone’s spirits to know that Obama and company have erased terrorism from America’s consciousness. Isn’t it better to let bygones be bygones? Did 9/11 really happen?

Who needs military spending when the nation’s path is strewn with roses? Is there any doubt that “man caused disasters” will soon evaporate? Imagine the joy when bin Laden walks out of the mountains and begs the world to forgive his transgressions. Won’t that be something?

And who would doubt that when Homeland Security concentrates one-half of its new manpower and resources on the Canadian border that illegal immigration won’t be halted? This policy will certainly make our southern neighbors feel better. It would be so hurtful and unpatriotic to injure the feelings of Mexicans entering the US illegally.

Obama and the Democrats are so optimistic that Americans will cherish blanket amnesty that they intend to end E-Verify. Every unemployed American should be thrilled with the open border policy and our warm welcome.

It’s a chance for the US unemployed to express their love. Illegal aliens only want jobs, the right to unrestricted medical care, education, welfare and to speak their own language.

There is nothing like “investing” a few trillion dollars in welfare to prove our compassion. So what if a small number of Muslims, who wish to destroy America, share this bounty? Maybe our generosity will turn them into democratic socialists. Their conversion to economic insanity is far better than an independent assault on America. Well, maybe not.

The Europeans will certainly appreciate our “love and flowers” overtures to Iran and the Taliban. It seems so obvious that political correctness will solve the world’s problems and redeem our reputation. Certainly the world would be a better place if political correctness, affirmative action, multi-culturalism and diversity had been introduced prior to the American Revolution.

And isn’t everyone pleased that Hillary Clinton learned that it takes a village to raise children? Personal responsibility is so overrated. Since the advent of government subsidized daycare the nation can depend on both parents to pay income taxes. That’s real sharing and true patriotism.

And before Obama, who knew that a $9 trillion deficit was the best solution for a recession? Extending this logic, we should beg him to double this number. Only sour pusses would be unhappy about the overtime the federal printing press operators will earn. And only the naysayers would question the wisdom of burying the nation’s future generations in debt.

Americans should be absolutely giddy over the prospect of Pelosi, Reid and Obama controlling healthcare in the US. Why should the vast majority of Americans receive first class healthcare when the entire nation can have uniformly rotten healthcare? There is no excuse for not putting Pelosi, Reid and Obama in charge of this transition. They are up to the task.

And what’s not to like about Pelosi, Reid and Obama’s energy solution? Who cares if cap and trade triples the cost of living, drives corporations offshore and results in the destruction of private enterprise?

Just knowing that windmills and solar energy will replace fossil fuels in the next fifty to one hundred years is so . . . so heroic. Ain’t Obama great?
