A Credibility Gap

There is a lot of jabbering going on about how volatile those town hall meetings, dedicated to the discussion of the potential size of the government’s role in US healthcare, have been.

Naturally these vociferous gatherings are being compared to the introduction of Hillary Care, which died dispassionately.

The left wingers would have us believe that the difference is that Mr. Obama is black and First Lady, Hillary Clinton, is white. Maybe, just maybe, as many as five percent of the protesters have that anti-black thing going on. That is at least balanced by the ninety percent of blacks who will buy anything Obama is selling.

For those of us sitting in the peanut gallery, it seems that Pelosi, Reid and Obama’s grab for control of an additional 17% of the US economy is merely the straw that broke the camel’s back. And despite their denials, Obama Care has rationing, higher taxes and deficits written all over it.

If healthcare was that important to them, they should have introduced it before spending $878 billion to buy control of the banks and financial institutions, General Motors, fund ACORN and lavish the unproductive with more entitlements.

Never forget they claimed (or pretended) that this spending spree would keep unemployment from exceeding 8%. Yeah, that worked as well as their estimates for the Cash for Clunkers boondoggle.

Now throw in their constant efforts to limit the development of on-shore fossil and nuclear energy resources in favor of windmills and sunshine. The crowning glory of this brain storm is Cap and Trade. This sneaky tax increase was constructed to appease the tree-huggers and generate revenues for government controlled healthcare.

That Cap and Trade would have stifled America’s competiveness and sent unemployment into the stratosphere didn’t bother them a wit. They never bothered to consider how many unemployed greenies would continue voting for the folks in congress responsible for their job losses.

Maybe their credibility needs polishing.

For those of us sitting in the cheap seats it seems pretty natural to be upset when the illustrious members of congress admit they didn’t bother to read the stimulus bill, and don’t have a clue about the fine print in the proposed Obama Care legislation. From their perspective, American voters are asking too much of them to know what they are voting for or against.

This same bunch of lazy hucksters, including many of their Republican brethren, will begin jamming amnesty for 13 to 20 million illegal aliens down our throats. Again, they will fall back on their theme that those opposed to adding over a trillion dollars to the deficit (in the first year) are racial bigots.

Gee, who knew that the bedrock of fiscal sanity was prejudice? Evidently it is politically incorrect to ask why they want to reward law breakers. Maybe they have a special affection for all who ignore the laws. You know, like their tax cheating friend running the Treasury.

Obama's Healthcare Whoopers

Mr. Obama’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire provides ample evidence that he is willing to deceive the American people to achieve his socialist healthcare objectives.

The prime deception is that he now calls it an insurance problem. It’s not; it’s an effort to radically change healthcare delivery and give the government ownership of the medical industry.

Everyone knows that government cost projections are worthless. It always underestimates costs and overestimates revenues. The only dogma that guides Obama, Reid and Pelosi is that the government can cover shortages by increasing taxes or deficits.

As with all socialists, they depend on revenue shortages to excuse the growth of government, as income re-distribution is their goal. Therefore, revenue shortages benefit their political objectives.

This has been standard operating procedure since President LBJ introduced his Great Society legislation. The estimated billions of dollars to eradicate poverty and suffering turned into trillions of misspent dollars.

And not one single objective was achieved. In fact, all evidence supports but one conclusion: The income of the working class got confiscated to underwrite the care and feeding of the unproductive members of society. And the numbers of the unproductive are higher than ever.

The only two ratios that changed were the amount of income the Middle Class retained. It went down in direct proportion to the growth of government entitlements. Secondly, the power of government grew at the expense of individual liberty. Equally devious, it shredded the American standard of self-reliance.

So it is preposterous to believe Obama’s administration when it says that the addition of 46 million people to the government healthcare roles can be made revenue neutral by taxing the top two percent of America’s wealthy.

His arithmetic would be laugh-out-loud funny if he didn’t believe the American people were that gullible.

Obama told two obvious lies, big lies, during his healthcare crusade’s New Hampshire stop. First, he said the program(s) had the support of the AARP. That is a lie. They have not endorsed any of the multiple proposals.

Of course, the weasel used this lie to insinuate that a powerful senior’s organization would never approve a medical program that rationed end-of-life healthcare. He bolstered this lie with another deception.

The Deceiver-in-Chief stated unequivocally that there is no government bureaucracy mentioned in any of the proposed legislation which will ultimately be responsible for determining the level of healthcare available to all citizens. Technically, this is true.

But Obama knows his $878 billion stimulus bill has already funded comparative effectiveness research (CER). This federal mandate will create a bureaucracy responsible for healthcare rationing and for managing doctor care if Obama Care passes.

That the Democrats blocked amendments to specifically prohibit this bureaucracy from rationing healthcare, based on cost and age, attests to its reason to exist. Rationing is already in the plan. America’s elderly and seriously sick children will be left to die if Obama Care becomes law.

A New Branch of Government?

There is something creepy about the adulation the press heaps on Mr. Obama and his wife, Michelle. Now these hucksters are claiming that this socialist duo is the best dressed couple in the universe.

This whimsical distortion is small potatoes, compared to the outright lies they concoct to further Obama’s agenda. It seems the press has traded its credentials and integrity for the high honor of becoming the official White House guardians of the news.

Twenty-four members of the media have tossed aside their press credentials and joined the Obama Administration. It’s common knowledge that the entire staffs at ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS are honorary members of this club. In fact, they probably drew straws to determine who would stay behind and continue the pretense of objective reporting.

This level of incest has opened the door to the coordination of the news by the political rulers. Now the White House, not editors, dictate what’s fit to print. It hasn't locked down all the avenues of dissent yet, but not for the lack of effort.

Obama’s diatribes against talk radio personalities and Fox Channel News is not happenstance. These slurs are pre-written, ready to read on a teleprompter. His effort to neutralize these outlets only appears to be ad hoc. It’s a calculated frontal attack to suppress information and opinion.

Think not? Who could have predicted, let along thought, that the President of the United States of America would issue directions for citizens to report the names of anyone (on a government website) who disagrees with his agenda?

This leaves no room for conjecture. Any American who disagrees with Obama is classified as an enemy of the state. If this doesn’t frighten you, you have never spent time in the Soviet Union; nor did you escape from Cuba.

Still not concerned? Then consider this.

Once the spontaneous gatherings of tax protesters became too large for the press to ignore, the White House and its media parasites classified them as conservative financed goons planted on the streets and in the town hall meetings. This ignores the fact that the Republican Party was equally surprised by the outpouring of government mistrust heard at these gatherings.

The media doesn’t always dissemble to protect the president. Since the American voters have pretty much given Obama’s spending agenda a thumbs down, it just buries or ignores the facts that conflict with capitalism.

The prime examples of this include the economic consequences of the proposed Cap and Trade legislation, the real costs and the rationing of services inherent in nationalized healthcare, the failure of the $878 billion stimulus bill to create employment, and Mr. Obama’s associations with people and organizations steeped in corruption.

Only one question remains: Is Obama, or a media which deliberately masks his anti-American agenda, the guiltiest of betraying America?

Disease Carriers

Forget the political pros and cons of Cash for Clunkers. There is one major problem with this giveaway. It’s called the national deficit. Mr. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Ed Markey just slapped our children and grandchildren with another bill for this grandstand gesture.

One has to be pretty low to steal from children and the unborn. But it figures. This is the same crowd that plans on confiscating their inheritance with the reintroduction of the death tax.

When put in context with the euthanasia guidelines in their government healthcare proposal it gets a little frightening. Healthcare rationing gives the government the right to determine who lives and dies. The wealthy had better stay healthy.

Their deaths give the government the opportunity to double dip. The Treasury saves money by refusing to pay for treatments that extend their lives, which in turn, speeds the confiscation of their wealth.

And, unless a medical black market flourishes, the rich will have no better options in a single payer system than the destitute. It’s not difficult to foresee the coordination between the IRS and the Obama Care bureaucrats in determining the value of an individual’s death to the US Treasury.

The elderly will be walking around with a bounty on their heads. Sound farfetched?

Who among us could have predicted the government choking off the development of US energy, buying General Motors, providing unlimited enticements to illegal aliens, removing courses in civics from high schools, and banning religious symbols in the public square?

These are the same anti-American miscreants who promote discrimination based on ethnicity; that demanded banks provide mortgages to the credit unworthy; that attempted to re-light the Fairness Doctrine to squelch political dissent, and want to put a criminal organization (ACORN) in charge of the 2010 national census.

And never forget that they declared war on the unborn by giving medical personnel the right to kill them. So it’s not farfetched to predict the coordination of euthanasia, death taxes and government healthcare rationing.

Obama and this congress are only interested in creating an all powerful, socialist state. And their denials of this truth ring hollow. Their deeds and actions are undeniable proof of their agenda.

Any citizen who doesn’t protest the shredding of the Constitution, the abandonment of capitalism and the war against religion can’t be counted with Americans. For they are not worthy of the title!

Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Henry Waxman, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, Bernard Sanders, John Murtha, Arlen Specter and Ed Markey are to America what dirty hands are to the spread of swine flu. They are the carriers of a disease that is killing America.

Let’s hope Americans wash their hands of them at the ballot box.

Building Socialism

Freedom is a zero sum game. The growth of the decision making power of government is in indirect proportion to the loss of the independence of its citizens. Obama, a radical socialist, wants the federal government to define life style and determine the value of each individual’s life.

The $878 billion stimulus program was nothing more than a shopping spree. It fulfilled the leftwing’s yearning for government control of the financial and insurance institutions, and it made a large down payment on bridling US manufacturing.

The Cap and Trade legislation is designed to micro manage every facet of energy choice, production, rationing and inspection at the household level.

Now add Obama’s proposal for a national police force, with a budget equal to the Defense Department, which has jurisdiction in every community and reports directly to the president. Then add the introduction of mandatory government service (read indoctrination) for America’s youth, another Obama proposal.

Combined with the nationalization of healthcare, Obama, Pelosi and Reid hope to make American citizens subservient to the dictates of the federal government.

Obama has already stated that the United States is not a Judeo-Christian nation. The growth and perpetuation of this lie is critical to the success of his agenda. His leftwing adherents mock religion and church attendees because absolute truths stand between them and the absolute power of government.

The ALCU, the legal arm of the liberal Democrats, has worked passionately to rid the nation of the influence and the symbols of religion. As long as the citizens pay homage to a Supreme Being, the state is subject to a higher moral authority.

The liberals want no moral interference, or institutions outside of government, questioning the moral authority of government. Obama’s political decision to avoid attending church services, or honoring the national day of prayer, underlines his revulsion for Christian religions.

And remember, he demanded that Notre Dame cover a religious symbol above the stage from which he spoke. He wants no strange gods before him.

Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank and Obama are serious about destroying any vestiges of capitalism and religion. They have set aside billions of dollars for ACORN and its hundreds of subsidiaries to fix elections.

They have repeatedly attempted to put this pack of criminals in charge of the national census. By inflating the number of people living in Democratic communities, and conversely, undercounting the populace in conservative regions, they can rig the House of Representatives.

They have welcomed illegal aliens into their conclaves and have distorted and denied their efforts to fast track them into US citizenship. This isn’t about love of humankind; this is about packing the ballot box. They use the promise of entitlements to entice these uneducated border jumpers into their party, like a child molester uses candy.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid have done more to cripple capitalism and weaken our national security in seven months than all our enemies accomplished in 250 years. They represent the ugliest form of government; they pretend to be our protectors while undermining the Bill of Rights.
