Beyond Anger
Last night’s presidential debate clarified one thing. If America’s taxpayers don’t revolt, what’s left of their standard of living will be flushed down the entitlement rat hole.
Government spending is out of control and the nation is drowning in debt. Both candidates addressed this issue; only one candidate, Senator McCain, proposed a reduction in spending.
It’s about time Americans heard a candidate admit government spending is out of control.
Anger doesn’t describe my attitude toward Congress, the media and the trillion dollar bailout. The politicians are wrapped around each other like pigs in a blanket. The US media is a propaganda machine worthy of Russia. And the bailout is a slow motion sucker punch.
Throw in Senator Obama, socialist extraordinaire, who plays the race card every time he is cornered. Then there is that lame excuse for a Republican called Senator McCain. He has only one thing going for him; he’s not Senator Obama.
Sadly, McCain is the nation’s only chance. He is like an old lawn mower that you hope will make it through one more season.
Now for good measure, toss in the Democratic fornicator, Tim Mahoney, Florida, who replaced a Republican pedophile. He stated that his personal life is none of our business. This is the last refuge of a political skunk in the congressional playbook. And it’s typical of their arrogance.
In the midst of this slop fest, we discover ACORN deliberately, and with malice, blackmails banks with bad publicity, if they fail to grant mortgages to the undeserving, including illegal aliens. In their spare time these slime bags are preparing to stuff the ballot boxes in 11 states with millions of phony votes. And those who confront them are called racists.
But that figures. Senator Obama helped train them, sent them $800,000 from his campaign chest, and prepared legislation which would have prohibited their prosecution. It’s no wonder why they love his style. And his allies in Congress twice attempted to hand ACORN $500 to $600 million which they buried in the bailout proposals.
And you expect the status quo to change with these unrepentant thieves in charge of the treasury?
Now take a look at President Bush, Mr. Compassionate Conservative. During his reign, government spending rose 40%. He doesn’t have the guts to confront the Democrats for the Freddie and Fannie debacle. In fact, he just handed them ownership of the banks. That’s their reward for nearly destroying the nation’s fiscal solvency.
But then again, why would a president who left our borders undefended and sought amnesty for 12 million illegal immigrants find fault with welfare programs that bankrupt the nation.
And the pile gets higher. Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid are preparing the $150 billion stimulus component of Senator Obama’s $860 billion entitlement vision. If you work for a living, you won’t see a penny of this. But you will feel it, when the national debt and taxes smother any opportunity to invest or save.
Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society legislation forced the second parent into the workplace to cover the family’s taxes for government entitlements. Senator Obama’s vision will require the retraction of the child labor laws.
This isn’t an election, it’s a rigged lottery. The Democrats will purchase the winning tickets with expanded taxes. They are negotiating with their constituency, promising to exchange the winning tickets (read welfare) for votes.
Taxpayers are outnumbered. They only have a 1 in 5 chance of winning the pot. Welcome to the 2008 presidential election.
